The 14th Annual NTCA & Elders Amateur Photographic Competition





The Annual NTCA & Elders Amateur Photography Competition, now in its fourteenth year, has become one of the most anticipated occasions of the NTCA Conference & Gala Dinner.  

All entries will be displayed at the NTCA Annual Industry Conference on 17th March 2023, with the winners being announced at the NTCA Gala Dinner on the same evening.


Categories

Section 1 – Portrait (person or animal)

A photograph that captures the likeness of a person or animal, or a small group of people or animals, in which the face and expression is predominant. The objective is to display the likeness, personality and even the mood of the subject/s.

Section 2 – NT Landscape

Intended to show different locations within the NT, showing little or no human activity, using subjects as landforms, weather or ambient light.

Section 3 – Industry at work or play

Pictures of the NT pastoral/beef industry, people and landscapes, showing everyday life or extraordinary situations.  Pictorials must include people and may also include examples of caring for our livestock, environment and each other.

People's Choice:

The People’s Choice Award is the major prize of the competition and is judged by the attendees, from all of the entries in the above three categories, to be the overall favourite of the competition. 

Your photograph/s will not only provide a backdrop for the forthcoming 38th NTCA Annual Industry Conference in Darwin, they will illustrate our unique outback lifestyle and the distinctive Northern Territory people and landscape.

Photography Competition Prize

The winner will receive a Farmbot water level monitor valued at $1290 plus a subscription service valued up to $456, kindly donated by Farmbot.
