2024 KPCA Conference website

CHARITY PARTNERS

Each year, through the generosity and support of our members, the KPCA conference provides an opportunity to raise funds for charitable organisations and community groups that deliver vital services to our members and the northern Australia pastoral industry.

This year, we are supporting three incredible organisations:

The Royal Flying Doctors Service WA

The RFDS provide vital medical assistance and to our remote communities and we are proud to continue to partner with them in order to keep this vital service in the sky.

Pancare Foundation

The Pancare Foundation are a leading charity committed to inspiring hope, raising awareness, supporting families and funding research for upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. With some of the lowest survival rates out of all the major cancers, Pancare are dedicated to improving outcomes for those affected by upper GI cancers including pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancers.

KPCA Future Leaders Industry Initiative

Funds raised to go towards the 2025 Livestock Handling Cup to support and encourage best practice animal management and welfare by developing the skills and knowledge of our industry’s future leaders.

Royal Flying Doctor Service WA

Western Australia is a vast and remote state and making sure people across the regions have access to health care and emergency, life-saving treatment is what we do at the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations.

We believe that everyone, no matter where they live, deserves to have skilled and caring doctors and nurses to help them look after their health, and to treat them during emergencies while flying to specialist care.

We have a team of medical clinicians and pilots who are committed to providing the finest care to the furthest corner of WA. Together we provide fast, free and efficient emergency retrievals, GP health clinics, dentistry, telehealth and medical chests. We bring the hospital emergency room, GP clinic, dentist chair, pharmacy and our dedicated professionals to patients when they need us the most.

We do this across WA - the world’s largest health jurisdiction – through our five aeromedical bases located at Broome, Port Hedland, Meekatharra, Kalgoorlie and Jandakot. We have an integrated world class aeromedical fleet of 17 Pilatus PC-12 turbo prop aircraft, three Rio Tinto LifeFlight PC-24 jets and two Fortescue Heli-Med EC145 helicopters.

Pancare Foundation

We provide support for people living with cancer and their families from the point of diagnosis through to treatment and beyond. We also fund world-leading research to increase survival and improve treatment options.

PanSupport is Pancare Foundation’s dedicated support, resource and information service available for all Australians affected by upper gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, such as pancreatic, liver, stomach, biliary and oesophageal cancers.

PanSupport offers dedicated support to patients through:

• A dedicated online-hub of information and resources on living with an upper GI cancer; including information on diagnosis, treatment options, health and wellbeing.

• A dedicated Patient and Carer Support Team including a Specialist Upper GI Cancer Nurse, Support Manager and counselling service

• Patient and carer support groups.

• Educational webinars on living with upper GI cancers suitable for patients, families and health care professionals.
