Cancellation Policy

Registration

If notification of registration cancellation is made in writing to AA&P prior to 31 July 2024, a full refund will be given (less AU$99 processing fee). After this date no refund will be given, however a substitute delegate may be accepted. Refunds for social functions will be given at the discretion of the event host .

All delegates are strongly advised to take out insurance cover for their registration, travel and accommodation in the unlikely event of non-attendance or conference cancellation.

Accommodation

Cancellation fees will be subject to the hotel group booking cancellation policy.   Cancellation of bookings must be made via email through AA&P Events only Cancellations after 1 August 2024 are not eligible for refunds.

Late Payment Policy

Super Early Bird Registration Fees

Super Early Bird registration fees are applicable for delegates who have registered before 29 February 2024. Please note, any Super Early Bird registrations not paid for by 29 February 2024 will automatically be amended and invoiced to the Early Bird registration fee.

Early Bird Registration Fees

Early Bird registration fees are applicable for delegates who have registered before 10 May 2024. Please note, any Early Bird registrations not paid for by 10 May 2024 will automatically be amended and invoiced to the Regular registration fee.

Regular Registration Fees

Regular registration fees are applicable for delegates who have registered after 11 May July 2024. Please note, any regular registrations not paid for by 2 September 2024 will not receive a name badge or be permitted to attend.

Liability/Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. AA&P will not accept liability for, but not limited to:

• Damages of any nature (including financial) sustained by participants, or loss or damage to their personal property in the event of industrial disruptions or natural disasters;
  
• Damage to reputation;
  
• Loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the Conference or through cancellation of the Conference;
  
• Loss of internal/domestic air fares or accommodation through cancellation for any reason;
  
• Personal injury or illness of any kind, or death;
  
• Medical expenses
  

Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate and should be purchased in your country of origin.

Delegates are strongly recommended to take out suitable travel insurance policy including coverage for non-refundable registration fees when you register for the meeting and book your travel.

Guests and other Third Parties

If you register a third party for any of the events, you must ensure that the third party complies with these terms and conditions of registration and attendance. If you are a guest or a registrant for the event or other third party, it is a condition of your admission to and continued attendance at the event, that you agree to these terms and conditions of registration and attendance and that you comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions of registration and attendance, please notify us and your name will be removed from the guest list.

Force Majeure

The Organisers and Co-Organisers of the Meeting shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations hereunder to the extent such delay or failure is caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the un-availability of the venue or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control and without fault or negligence. For one or more of such reasons, the organisers and co-organisers of the Meeting shall not be liable to attendee for any direct, consequential or incidental damages, costs, or losses incurred, such as transportation costs, accommodations costs, or financial losses.

Photography/videography

There will be photographs/videos taken throughout the conference and at the social events. These may be used for promotional activities, including the Asia Pacific Coroners Society website and on social media. If you do not want your photograph taken, or used, please notify the photographer onsite at your earliest convenience.
