The KPCA Livestock Handling Cup is a unique competition that brings teams from a broad range of Northern WA Pastoral operations together in a competitive and continuous improvement environment to demonstrate skills in relation to low/no-stress stock handling.
This event is an opportunity for the industry to promote leading practice and animal welfare standards and lead the way for a positive dialogue between producers and the public, the value of which cannot be underestimated. Hear from leading industry experts from across Australia share their insights, knowledge, tips and tools for best practice animal welfare with a full day speaking program and workshops on Thursday, 5th September.
The KPCA Livestock Handling Cup is an opportunity to showcase skills in the industry and encourage learning, connection, positivity and energy. The Cup will be run on Friday, 6th September and sees competitor teams showcase their livestock handling skills, with the winning team assessed against three key criteria: animal welfare, teamwork and Stockmanship.
The KPCA is a not for profit industry development and advocacy body that represents a diverse range of producers with, on a cumulative basis, significant pastoral land holdings across the Kimberley and Pilbara and into the Gascoyne region of WA. The membership base is also inclusive of Aboriginal producers and a number of related businesses servicing the industry.
