Dr. Rezende works as a research associate at the Department of Neurology at the University of Campinas in Brazil and as a visiting researcher at the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Research Center at the University of Minnesota in the USA, focusing on identifying neuroimaging biomarkers and uncovering the natural history of inherited cerebellar ataxias. He has served as local PI for the TRACK-FA study and has been leading many multicenter studies worldwide, such as Enigma-Ataxia: Spinal Cord Analysis, Enigma-PD: Spinal Cord Analysis and PI coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence Networks for Multimodal Cerebellar Segmentation consortium.
